Artists – Past & Present
As one of the few venues for live music in Clarkesville, the Grant Street Music Room is pleased and proud to have had some of the best bands in the Southeast play our stage. Below are just a sampling….

Caroline Aiken

Chattahoochee Chain Gang
The Chattahoochee Chain Gang has quickly become one of the hottest new Americana-Bluegrass bands in the South. Their style incorporates traditional blue grass instrumentation, and infuses it with blues, Americana, folk, and country. CCG music features melodic mandolin run and soulful blues licks that are mixed with neo-traditional banjo, slap bass, and a variety of Americana style percussion. Chattahoochee Chain Gang has a remarkable way of making traditional bluegrass more appealing to the modern world.
John King Band
Blending Southern Rock and Country John King will astound you with superb musicianship and get you dancing all in one action packed show.

Lefty Williams Band
Lefty Williams Southern blues-rock is rougher then the Allman Brothers’, smoother than Lynyrd Skynyrd’s and at times a little jazzier than either…With a voice that sounds like a Dixie Steve Winwood, Lefty would be a first class front man even if he didn’t play well enough to render his so-called handicap irrelevant…The man’s got more chops than a Kansas City butcher.
Packway Handle Band
Packway Handle Band is rooted in thought provoking songwriting, clever choice and arrangement of bluegrass traditionals, and totally unexpected covers, all delivered with a crackling energy. If you get an idea of what Packway Handle is early in a show, you’ll probably change your mind several times before they’re done. But it’s obvious their enthusiasm and sense of humor are honest, and that what they do appeals to broad audiences, even those who don’t normally listen to bluegrass.
Ralph Roddenbery and Friends
A charismatic singer/songwriter/performer based out of the Atlanta area, Ralph Roddenbery and Friends is a dynamic blend of Americana, roots rock, and a twist of the blues combining harmonies with energizing riffs, captivating lyrics, remarkable stage presence and a driving rhythm section.

And many more….
